AMFT#13815 - Supervised by Lauren Worley, LCSW #68178

I decided to pursue Marriage and Family Therapy after seeing so much suffering while working in emergency management and in the maritime field. I became passionate about the idea of bringing mental health services to people who hadn’t had access to those services in the past. I love connecting with people, hearing their stories, and collaborating to come up with solutions that work for them.

I am especially passionate about working with couples. Most couples come to therapy because they feel stuck, aren’t seeing eye to eye, and want to connect better. I enjoy empowering couples and giving them the tools they need to improve their communication and connection. I also love working with children and adolescents, and am excited for this opportunity to take on more young clients. I love to give them the space to be the expert in the room and learn how to more effectively express their needs.

I have always been one to run towards the fire, and a lot of my training has prepared me to handle a crisis. From fighting fires on ships, to managing a team in a disaster, to helping a couple overcome their marital conflicts. Years as a sea captain have helped me discover ways to connect with all kinds of people, hear their stories and find ways to get unstuck.
