Helping high-achieving adults and queer individuals find healing through Brainspotting
You’ve done the work. You’ve tried talk therapy. You’ve read the books, journaled through your triggers, and maybe even helped others heal along the way. But something still feels unresolved—and you’re ready to go deeper.
I’m Lauren Worley, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified Brainspotting therapist based in Burbank, California. I specialize in working with high-achieving adults and queer individuals navigating the lasting impact of trauma, burnout, and people-pleasing. If you’re tired of pushing through while feeling stuck inside, you’re in the right place.
Why Work With Me
I know how exhausting it is to always say “yes” and hold everything together while feeling overwhelmed inside. I’ve been there. It's one of the reasons I sought therapy for myself, but I discovered I couldn't find a therapist who felt real, present, and human. So, I committed to being that therapist when I decided to pursue therapy.
I struggled with my own traumas, boundary issues, and the pressure to keep performing. Therapy helped, but it wasn’t until I found Brainspotting that I experienced a deeper level of healing. That shift is what led me to do this work. I wanted to be the kind of therapist I once needed—someone honest, grounded, and fully in it with you.
My clients are often self-aware and have done therapy before, but they still feel stuck. With over a decade of experience and advanced Brainspotting training, I help them go deeper. I’m direct, heart-centered, and here to both support and challenge you as you heal.
My Approach to Therapy
I use Brainspotting, a body-based therapy that helps you access and release trauma stored deep in your nervous system—often beyond what talk therapy can reach. It’s a powerful tool for lasting change, especially if you’ve felt stuck despite doing the work.
Sessions with me are real, grounded, and collaborative. You can expect honesty, humor, and depth. I’ll meet you where you are, help you go deeper, and celebrate the shifts along the way. We’ll move beyond just talking—into actual healing.
Common Struggles I Help With
Many of my clients come to me feeling like they should be okay. They’re smart, successful, and often the ones others rely on. But under the surface, they’re carrying unresolved trauma, chronic stress, and a deep sense of exhaustion.
If that resonates, you're not alone—and you don’t have to keep pushing through it. Together, we’ll work toward calm, clarity, and a stronger connection to yourself.
You might be:
A high-achiever who never learned how to say no without guilt
Someone who’s done therapy before but still feels stuck
A queer adult navigating identity, family dynamics, or past harm
Struggling to set boundaries with loved ones
Feeling triggered by things you can’t quite explain

Get to Know Me Outside Therapy
I believe in practicing what I help others work toward—balance, boundaries, and living a life that feels aligned.
That’s why I keep a limited caseload, so I can show up fully present for every client and for the people I love. Outside of sessions, I’m usually in motion—chasing after my twins, heading to a HIIT workout, or discovering a new favorite restaurant in L.A. with my friends. I find joy in movement, connection, and the everyday rituals that keep me grounded.
Life outside of therapy keeps me human and helps me stay connected to the work in a real, honest way.
