Support for Life’s Complex Moments
If you’ve learned how to keep going, even when things feel heavy, you’re surviving and life can be better. Maybe you’ve done your own reflection, yet certain patterns, reactions, or emotions keep repeating.
My name is Rozerik Ross Milstein, MA, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) in California, offering in-person and virtual therapy through Foothills Psychotherapy. I work with individual adults and children navigating trauma, anxiety, and life transitions, and parents working through challenges and blessings, including neurodiversity. I provide parenting therapy for families navigating ADHD and neurodiversity. I also support leaders and creatives managing professional stress, who feel burned out, blocked, or disconnected from meaning and momentum.
My goal is to create a warm, supportive therapy space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and move forward with clarity, steadiness, and self-trust.
Why Work With Me
Parenting is hard. You are expected to raise this tiny human (or humans) with compassion and kindness, and sometimes they just drive you up the wall. Add in the complexity of parenting a neurodiverse child and things get difficult. As a parent of a neurodiverse child who has made it to graduation, I get what it is like to struggle with and celebrate their neurodiversity, but to also feel very alone when talking with other parents.
Many parents seek me out for support with emotional regulation, overwhelm, and family stress. The parents I work with have tried seemingly everything and feel trapped and helpless. Maybe you have felt exhausted by your kid, perhaps even afraid of their big feelings, but you want to help them succeed and bring peace back to the family. It can be scary to reach out and admit you are having a hard time as a parent, I will provide a non-judgmental space for you to find relief and get the tools you need to move forward.
Therapy with me feels compassionate, non-judgmental, and filled with genuine curiosity about your current story. We will work collaboratively to shape what the next chapter of your life will look like.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe in my clients. I know that they have the ability to find relief and just need someone to help them get there. Therapy should be a supportive environment where you believe in the work you are doing and know that I believe in you.
I believe in providing a flexible approach to therapy. At my office in Burbank or through virtual services in California, I incorporate EMDR, Brainspotting, tapping, and narrative therapy to ensure that you are receiving the best support you need with whatever you are bringing into the room that day. We might even incorporate my experience with transcendental meditation or creative writing, whatever you need to feel seen, heard, and valued.
Common Struggles I Help With
You are a parent who feels trapped. You’ve tried everything to support your ADHD child and you feel lost. You might be struggling with traumas that are too big to name, but you see how they are impacting your everyday life.
Whether you feel stuck because you don’t have the blueprint to guide you, or you just need someone to be the support you have been missing in your life, I am ready to help.
Many of my clients are navigating:
Parenting ADHD and neurodivergent children
Trauma and family-of-origin wounds
Burnout and stress in the entertainment industry
Feeling stuck after trying therapy that didn’t help
Get to Know Me Outside Therapy
Before I became a therapist, I was a media executive. I left that because I wanted something more. That led me to coaching, but my desire to understand the why and lead with curiosity led me to therapy.
Outside of sessions, you’ll find me practicing Transcendental Meditation or Creative Writing. I’m a huge fan of Classic Cars and Science Fiction: so much so that I drive a delorean! In order to find peace and take care of my body, I enjoy ice plunges and indoor rowing.
